A Reflection for When We Forget to Say Thank You
Sometimes we get so caught up in what we’re doing that we forget to say thank you.
Knowing this, David specifically assigned people to remember to give thanks to God:
For delivering them from bondage.
For keeping them safe in the wilderness.
For bringing them safely home.
(1 Chronicles 16:4–36)
Remembering our gratitude for what God’s steadfast love (ḥesed, חֶסֶד) has done gives us the confidence and courage to trust what love will do.
