Episode Details

Dave Davis returns with another episode of Newsround on Anfield Index, as Liverpool prepare for their Champions League clash with LASK amid growing questions following their defeat to Manchester City.

Florian Wirtz is firmly in the spotlight after another disappointing performance, with David Lynch delivering a particularly strong assessment of the German midfielder's struggles in the Premier League. Steven Gerrard believes Wirtz remains a major talent but suggests that a spell on the bench could help restore his confidence. Dave considers whether Andoni Iraola needs to take the £116million signing out of the firing line.

There's also a debate surrounding Iraola's tactical decisions following Liverpool's red card against Manchester City. Jamie Carragher has questioned the manager's reaction, while Gerrard has praised the improvements Liverpool have made under the Spaniard.

Plus, Dave discusses Virgil van Dijk's calf concern, the fitness of Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai, and whether Liverpool should rotate heavily against LASK ahead of their Premier League trip to Brentford.
