Impact Signals #154: Tanzania's AI Eye-Screening Trial, Philadelphia's False AI Tip, Indonesia's Mosque Quake Alarms In 24 Tanzanian hospitals, a randomized trial found that an instant AI eye-screening result doubled the share of patients who reached a specialist, because the answer arrived while the patient was still in the room. In Philadelphia, a false homicide tip filed by an AI developer's test agent sat in police records for two months before the company disclosed it.
