Episode Details

Oregon State’s Jesse Wagri erupts onto the college football stage, torching defenses with 932 yards and 12 touchdowns as a true freshman. Can this unheralded wide receiver overtake stars like Jeremiah Smith and Malachi Toney for national freshman honors? Brian Smith spotlights Wagri’s meteoric rise alongside breakout performances from Deuce Geralds (LSU), Jamal Rule (Nebraska), and Luke Wafle—likened to NFL standout Aidan Hutchinson—in a deep dive into this year’s most electric college football rookies.

Key discussions cover Georgia’s shock freshman starters, Miami’s loaded first-year class, and how under-the-radar recruits are reshaping weekly matchups. Brian Smith previews marquee Week 7 showdowns including, but not limited to, Ohio State at Indiana, Penn State at Michigan, Florida at Texas, Alabama at Tennessee, Notre Dame at BYU, Wisconsin at UCLA, and Oklahoma State at Houston—raising tactical questions about defensive schemes, quarterback struggles, and playoff implications. Will these impact the College Football Playoff race? Tune in for a comprehensive analysis of 2024’s must-watch talents and pivotal games.
