Why Homeschooling Works

I began homeschooling in the early 90’s, and it was not as popular and well-known then. In fact, the children and I rarely went to do errands before 3:00, or we’d be asked many questions such as, “Oh, do the kids have the day off?” When I said I was homeschooling, some people asked, “What is that?”

What is Eden’s Table?

Eden’s Table is a Scripture-rooted homeschool herbalism curriculum built around a simple rhythm: one healing plant a week. It comes from The Eden Institute, founded by Camila Johnson in Clarksville, Tennessee, and it is the first Bible-rooted herbalism curriculum written for children rather than adapted down from adult herbalism training.

The weekly pattern is easy to picture. As Camila puts it, the study is “scripture-anchored on Monday and hands-on at the kitchen table by Friday.” One plant. Five days. Then the next plant.
