Description
Interesting Things with JC #1803: "Kick by INXS" — In 1987, Atlantic Records executives reportedly wanted INXS to scrap their new album, Kick. Manager Chris Murphy refused, and the record went on to produce four American Top 10 hits, win five MTV Video Music Awards, and sell more than 20 million copies worldwide. Behind its success were a taxi driver waiting while a guitarist recorded a riff, an unusual promotional strategy, and a music video inspired by Bob Dylan.
