In this episode of Soul Sync, I’m joined by astrologer, teacher and fellow medium Debra Clement for a warm, thoughtful conversation about astrology, intuition, fate and free will.
I open with a little from my week exploring trance mediumship at the Arthur Findlay College, and share how a reading Debra gave me after our conversation felt affirming at a turning point in my life.
Debra describes the birth chart as a “shortcut to the soul”. She shares how studying her own chart helped her make sense of inner conflicts and recurring experiences, and explains why an individual reading goes far beyond the general horoscopes we find in newspapers.
We take a journey through the twelve astrological houses, exploring how Debra interprets different areas of life, from relationships and family to work, calling and spiritual sensitivity. We also explore her belief that psychic and mediumistic potential can be reflected in a chart, and the difference between recognising an ability and finding the confidence to develop it.
Our conversation becomes personal as we reflect on unexpected changes of direction. Debra’s move from practising law to working full-time in astrology echoes my own decision to step more fully into mediumship. Together, we ask whether the chapters of our lives might be preparing us for something we cannot yet see.
Along the way, we discuss soul contracts, the possibility of choosing experiences before birth, and the place of personal choice within those beliefs. Debra also speaks openly about predictions that miss the mark, why she doesn’t organise every day around her chart, and what we can learn when we allow ourselves to be imperfect.
