Henry and Stark County Health Departments and First Choice Healthcare Clinics are highlighting several October health services. RaeAnn Tucker says Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a reminder for women to practice monthly self-exams and schedule clinical exams and mammograms. First Choice clinics in Kewanee and Toulon also offer women’s health and family planning services, including Pap smears, pregnancy testing, and contraceptive options. The clinics have extended a 50-dollar cash General Health and Thyroid Panel blood test special through October, with appointments required. A community outreach event is also set for October 30th from 10 AM to noon at the Colona Public Library, featuring medication disposal, blood pressure checks, giveaways, and insurance navigator help.
