The Kinross Incident: Vanishing Fighter Over Lake Superior
Episode 627
Published 1 week ago
Description
In November 1953 an F‑89 Scorpion disappeared over the waters of Lake Superior during a Cold‑War intercept, leaving only a perplexing radar merge and no physical evidence. This episode traces the chain of reports—from radar logs to Blue Book reviews—examines conventional explanations such as sensor artifacts and pilot error, and weighs more exotic possibilities while highlighting gaps in the official record.
