A Reflection for When We’re Looking for a Sign

Sometimes we just want a sign that things really are going to change, that they’re going to get better.

Hezekiah got his sign in the form of a shadow moving backward. A shadow. Nothing concrete or tangible. Nothing he could put his hands on.

Yet it was a sign that things were going to change.

We can often see the signs of hope when we stop looking specifically for the ones we are hoping to see.
