Yankee Blue: How a Fake Clearance Became UFO Myth
Episode 472
Published 2 weeks ago
Description
The episode examines the fabricated government clearance known as Yankee Blue, tracing its origins in late‑1980s media and how it spread through forums, blogs, and documentaries. We sift through FOIA records, real classification hierarchies, and public perception to reveal why a fictional name can fuel belief—while showing that lack of official mention leaves the claim unsupported.
