Heidelcast: Superfriends Saturday: Republication of the Covenant of Works
Description
In this episode, the Superfriends answer three related questions about the doctrine of the republication of the covenant of works. In other words, was the pre-fall covenant of works, made with Adam and Eve, in some sense reenacted or echoed at Mount Sinai within the Mosaic Covenant?
A listener asks if there is any kind of legal principal at work in Exodus 4:24-26? To help us correctly understand this passage, the Superfriends discuss the biblical and confessional understanding of how the covenants of grace and works are administered throughout redemptive history, and the sanctions and benefits within the biblical covenants.
