Episode Details

Friday Mass. 10.09.26.

This homily is about the Gospel passage where Jesus casts out demons and warns of the swept-clean house left empty. Drawing on a story from his years at a previous parish, the homilist explains that spiritual freedom can't be reduced to a quick prayer or blessing while life carries on unchanged. Instead, we must fill the empty space in our hearts with Christ through daily surrender, commitment, and faithful prayer, especially when we don't feel like it.
