Description
The WNBA playoffs are heating up, and Big Daddy Suede breaks down the championship race as the Las Vegas Aces, Golden State Valkyries, New York Liberty and Atlanta Dream battle for a spot in the Finals. Can A'ja Wilson and the defending champions survive, or is a new powerhouse ready to take over? Plus, Suede reviews DreamWorks' Forgotten Island, an animated adventure inspired by Filipino mythology, and questions why audiences aren't supporting the original movies they've been asking Hollywood to make.
Then things get heated with a reported violent confrontation outside ComplexCon involving rival hip-hop crews, while DreamCon prepares for another celebration of Black geek culture. Finally, Suede examines the Paramount, Warner Bros. and Skydance merger discussed in the episode, raising questions about streaming, media consolidation, political influence and the future of entertainment.Don't miss out, subscribe now so you won't miss an episode of Giant Robot Radio.
