I Have Another Badass Idea I May Try on my Substack
Description
I heard from an old friend the other day. She sent me a brief video of a fella stating something powerful. It moved me to tears. It hit me right where I live.
His message? “Some people don’t realize how much light they bring into others’ lives by just existing.”
That hit me hard. Mainly because the lady who sent it to me is one of those wonderful people. She’s been a friend for about two dozen years. We worked together originally, and she was one of my favorite people there at Dillard’s. I even visited her years later with my daughters once, at her home.
We’ve been saying how we need to get together soon. For years. I haven’t made that happen. And I feel bad about it.
We get so involved in our own lives and various pursuits. We don’t always make time for the ones who deserve our presence, and vice versa. So many justify it as being busy raising families, working hard in our careers, and needing downtime for ourselves. I get it.
But we could do better if we gave a better effort. I feel that I certainly could.
So let me tell you about my new idea to fix it. And how it could relate to my Substack page. I feel that I could create something you’d all enjoy and give a platform to the wonderful people in my life. I’d love to know what you think about this new pivot I’m considering. I’m always trying to improve my Substack so more folks can enjoy it.
