If Immanuel Quickley can't thrive on the Kawhi Leonard Raptors, something's gone very wrong w/ Es Baraheni
Description
Is this something of a make or break season for Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley? In Episode 2202, Sean Woodley and Es Baraheni continue the Best Case / Worst Case series with a look at Immanuel Quickley, who is often maligned yet still quite helpful, and should be in a very good context within which he can thrive as Kawhi Leonard joins the team. Off the top, Sean and Es talk about the most likely outcome for IQ this season, which probably involves him looking like a slightly more potent version of the player he was last season, especially if his pull-up and transition shooting can regress positively back toward his career averages. Next, they talk about the absolute best case for this coming season, which would probably see IQ turn himself into one of the absolute best off-ball players in basketball while leaning into his pick-and-roll creation as he uplifts second units. Lastly, Sean and Es chat about the worst possible outcomes for this season, which likely involve an unavailable IQ and the shooting questions that would cast upon the whole roster. Plus, where does IQ fit into what is sure to be a season of speculation about whether the Raptors will seek to upgrade their roster before the deadline?
