Stop, Think, Orientate, Plan!
Description
With Survival Steve stranded on Arran by bad weather, I turned the evening into an open-mic special with Paul and Miles. We began on a heartfelt note, sending our best wishes to Paul’s mum after she was taken into A&E, before moving into a wide-ranging conversation about hospitals, healing environments, natural medicine, acupuncture, and the practitioners and ideas that have impressed us most over the years. We also touched on Bio-Strath, nutrition, and why so much modern healthcare feels disconnected from genuine recovery.
From there, the conversation roamed gloriously far and wide: Tartaria and why I remain sceptical of the theory from an architectural perspective; old buildings, buried basements and Victorian craftsmanship; aircraft fuel, ether and Concorde; classic cars versus electric vehicles; and, to finish, some very practical bushcraft wisdom from Miles, including starter kit essentials for anyone curious about survival skills. A proper late-night ramble of history, architecture, health, transport and common sense.
