Tony Robbins teaches that most people walk into every room and play everyone else's music. They mirror the room's energy, absorb its mood, and become an instrument of the environment. You cannot influence anyone while you are playing their song. State management is the first skill of leadership. Be the thermostat, not the thermometer. The dealmaker who walks in with their own energy sets the tone of every meeting. Control your state before high-stakes moments. Bring your own intensity into rooms that are quieter than you. The room always tunes to the most certain person in it. Play your own music first, and the room plays along. If you like what you heard today, DM Adam J Carswell on LinkedIn. That's it.
