Description
What if you don’t need to have everything figured out?
We live in a culture obsessed with optimization, planning and control. We track everything, analyze everything and want to know exactly how things are going to turn out.But faith doesn’t always work that way.
In this episode, Shane digs into what Jesus feeding the 5,000 can teach us about trusting God when the math doesn’t make sense. Sometimes our instinct is to analyze the problem, calculate the odds and figure everything out, while God may simply be asking us to trust Him.
But trusting God doesn’t mean sitting around and being a lazy ass either.
Do the next right thing. Do the work. Limit the expectation. Trust God with the outcome.
We also get into what it looks like to share your faith without beating people over the head with a Bible. Let your life create the question. Love people. Serve people. Live differently. But don’t confuse attraction with compromise, Jesus never changed the truth just because people didn’t like the message.
Maybe you don’t need the entire plan today.
Maybe you just need enough faith to take the next step.
Less: “God, here’s my plan. Please bless it.”
More: “God, show me where You’re leading.”
