The New York Islanders (1-2-0) face the Chicago Blackhawks (1-3) on October 8, 2026, following a 5-2 defeat to the Rangers. Ilya Sorokin looks to rebound after allowing three goals to Alexis Lafreniere, while the Islanders manage a depleted roster with Mathew Barzal and others on IR.
