Sui is attempting to beat its own record of 6,086,766 transactions per second live at Sui Basecamp 2026 in Singapore on 7 October. CertiK will act as independent evaluator and will review proofs, execution logs, journals and supporting evidence before any record is claimed. The test measures effective TPS through programmable tunnels, which are offchain state and payment channels that settle to Sui mainnet when they close. AI agents and users will generate the load through games, messaging and transactions. The July record was about 20 times Sui's earlier benchmark of 297,000 TPS and roughly 745 times Visa's average global load in 2025. Mysten Labs argues that no human market needs six million transactions per second, while AI agents could.
