It is Kate’s first official episode 🎉 In her first episode as co-host of Women’s Sports Weekly, Kate and Carolyn dive into the first round of the WNBA playoffs, the Liberty’s historic upset over the Lynx, the Valkyries’ “scary hours,” postseason awards, and the PWHL’s upcoming home openers.
Then, get to know Kate in long form: her journey into women’s sports, her favorite teams, her love of F1, and what she hopes to bring to WSW.
This week’s episode includes a conversation about sexual violence, survivorship, and the ways we talk about survivors in sports and in our communities.
We want to be clear: survivors deserve to be believed, supported, and treated with dignity.
Coming forward is not the only measure of someone’s experience. Reporting is not the only path forward. Healing does not follow one timeline or look one particular way.
