Is Alonso solving Chelsea's big problems?
Description
There was excitement about Xabi Alonso's arrival as Chelsea manager in the summer - but is he solving the key issues at Stamford Bridge?
After a mixed - and goal-filled - start to Alonso's time in charge at Chelsea, Peter Smith is joined by James Savundra and David Richardson to assess the project in this special Sky Sports podcast.
The panel analyse key transfers in the summer which have shaped Alonso's squad for better or worse, discuss criticisms made by Alonso and Chelsea players about the group's mentality - and applaud the attacking entertainment delivered, too.
Plus, they review the exit of co-owners Todd Boehly and Mark Walter, which has given Clearlake Capital and Behdad Eghbali almost full control of the club.
