Episode Details

The Houston Cougars face the Kansas State Wildcats in a huge Big 12 football matchup, and this game could come down to a few strength-on-strength battles.

On today’s Locked On Coogs, Parker Ainsworth breaks down the biggest Houston vs. Kansas State matchups, including how the Cougars’ elite run defense can handle Avery Johnson and a Kansas State rushing attack averaging more than 240 yards per game.

Can Houston force Avery Johnson to beat the Cougars through the air? Can Conner Weigman stay efficient against one of the best statistical pass defenses in college football? And will Houston’s offensive line and rushing attack create the advantage Willie Fritz needs on the road?

We also break down Makhi Hughes, Re’Shaun Sanford, Houston’s defensive front, Kansas State’s offensive line, third-down battles and the X-factors that could ultimately decide this Big 12 showdown.

Houston enters the matchup looking to continue building momentum and prove it can win another important conference game away from home.
