Scotty C Juice Joint Vol 6
Description
This set starts in warm, melodic deep house and gradually strips things back into something tighter, more hypnotic and more underground. The opening moves through records from Girls of the Internet, 6th Borough Project, Dam Swindle, Jimpster, Purple Disco Machine, Black Coffee and Boo Williams, before the sound slowly shifts into deeper grooves and more minimal pressure.
From there, the set locks into music from Chris Stussy, Kolter, AJ Christou, Late Replies, Daniel Akbar, M.A., Gorge, Rossi., Santé, Jansons, Vitess, Ben Rau and more, building a long-form journey that gets darker, leaner and more physical as it goes.
As always with Scotty C this is not about quick drops. The records are worked together through long blends, (some mixes over 3 mins) harmonic movement and gradual handovers, with some transitions running for several minutes before the next track fully takes over.
Deep at the start. Hypnotic through the middle. Proper late-night pressure by the end.
