The South Downs Open, Opens!
Description
From this Saturday,10 October, until 13 March 2027, Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery is wholly dedicated to displaying the 183 selected entrants (and they are for sale) in the Second South Downs Open.
The Museum and Art Gallery's Head of Collections and Exhibitions, Louise Weller talks to Mike Waddington about the wide range of creativity captured in the displayed works and the work behind the scenes to display the work so that they 'talk to each other.'.
The winner, with the prize of their own exhibition in 2028, is to be announced.
There is a People’s Choice award too, from voting visitors.
An online catalogue is available from Saturday where the artists write about their inspirations.
