Episode Details

Oklahoma Sooners face daunting questions as quarterback John Mateer struggles mentally and the offensive line flounders ahead of the Red River Rivalry against Texas. Can Brent Venables’ defense create enough game-changing moments to compensate for an offense ranked among the nation’s worst in both rushing and total yards? Brian Smith and John Williams break down Mateer’s indecision, the complete lack of explosive plays, and the disconnect between Ben Arbuckle’s play-calling and the elite talent on hand. With all the offensive talent Arch Manning and the Longhorns’ offense possesses, it’s critical for OU to figure out the offense.

With Texas’ run defense looking formidable and questions swirling around the Sooners’ ability to run or protect the football, the stakes could not be higher. The conversation spotlights key playmakers like Isaiah Sategna and Rocky Beers, coaching decisions that could redefine the program, and whether OU fans’ faith in Venables is running out. Will Oklahoma’s offense find answers before it’s too late, or are major changes looming in Norman?
