Satan offered Jesus every kingdom in the world. But there is a strange detail in the temptation account that most people read right past. Jesus never told Satan the kingdoms were not his to give. In Luke 4, Satan says the authority of the kingdoms of the world had been “delivered” to him and that he could give it to whomever he chose. Jesus rejected the offer, refused to worship him, and quoted Scripture. But He never disputed the claim. Why? In Episode 2 of The Revealed One, we examine the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness and the much larger biblical story behind Satan’s offer.
