Is the No. 19 officially back in the championship conversation?

๐Ÿ‘‘ KYLE LARSON SAVES HIS DAY

This is how championships are won.

Larson struggled with handling, endured a lengthy pit stop, lost a lap and finished Stage 1 outside the points.

Somehow, the No. 5 fought all the way back to P2.

Larson then had a wild final lap involving the outside wall and Tyler Reddick, but still walked away from Vegas with an enormous points day.

Larson didn't win โ€” but he extended his championship lead.

๐Ÿ”” CHRISTOPHER BELL LOSES POWER STEERING

Christopher Bell was positioned for a huge points day before the No. 20 developed a power-steering problem.

Bell battled through roughly the second half of the race without power steering and ultimately finished 23rd.

Instead of gaining ground, Bell leaves Vegas 55 points behind Larson.

How costly could this mechanical failure become?

๐Ÿšจ DENNY HAMLIN SPINS

Denny Hamlin entered Vegas 26 points behind Larson and leaves 40 back.

Hamlin started from the pole but spun while running near the front, costing the No. 11 valuable track position and points before eventually finishing 16th.

Meanwhile, Larson recovered to second.

That's another major championship swing between NASCAR's top two Chase contenders.
