What happens when the identities you've spent a lifetime building begin to fall away?

Brooke Lark joins Rocky and Tessa for a conversation about entering what Hindu philosophy calls the forest-dweller stage—a season of turning inward, loosening your grip on who you've been, and discovering who you might become next. For Brooke, that has looked like becoming an empty nester, selling her studio and home, entering her 50s, and watching identities she once thought were permanent begin to disappear.    

Together, they explore the invisible rules we inherit, the ways women learn to self-police, listening to the body, allowing ourselves to change, and the freedom of realizing there may be many versions of us within a single lifetime. The conversation also moves into Brooke's experiences with psychedelics and plant medicine—including mushrooms and ayahuasca—and how those experiences have influenced the way she understands herself, her voice, and her relationship with the world.
