On Episode #15 of the RWR ECW Podcast, Gene Jackson and Brandon Wheeler head back to July 20, 1993, as Eastern Championship Wrestling continues getting stranger, louder, and a little more chaotic by the week.

This time, the headline match is a rare clash between two legends as Terry Funk faces “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka for the ECW Television title, while the ECW Tag Team Title picture gets even more complicated with yet another stipulation heavy match between the Super Destroyers & the Suidcide Blondes, meanwhile Rockin’ Rebel keeps pushing the Sandman feud into uglier territory, and Todd Gordon tries to bring some order to a promotion that seems increasingly determined to ignore him.

There’s also more from Eddie Gilbert and Paul E. Dangerously, some classic early-ECW production confusion, and the kind of wild finish that makes you wonder whether anybody backstage was actually in control.

ECW still isn’t quite the promotion it would become...

But you can definitely feel it getting closer.
