Episode Details

Many of us grew up with a personal God who could be angry, judgmental, demanding, and even frightening. So it's understandable that contemporary spirituality has often embraced a very different idea: God as consciousness, energy, Being, or the impersonal essence of everything.

But what if there is another possibility?

In this episode of Exploring A Course in Miracles, Robert and Emily Perry discuss why the impersonal view of God has become so compelling in modern spirituality, what Jesus actually taught about God, and why the Course—despite its sophisticated metaphysics—continues to speak of God as Father, Creator, and Someone with whom we are meant to have a relationship.
