Things looking brighter as Riversdale gets solar power plant
Description
The Western Cape town of Riversdale now has a solar plant which has the capacity to generate up to 15 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually, easing the town’s reliance on Eskom for its growing power needs, and also help shield residents and municipal infrastructure from steep electricity price hikes. Africa Melane, standing in for Lester Kiewit, speaks to Alwie Lester, special adviser in energy to Western Cape Premier Alan Winde.
