The Secret To Playing Thanos! | Huge OTA Nerfs & Marvel Snap Meta Updates | The Snap Chat Ep. 198
Description
This week, Alex is joined by Marvel Snap expert and highly-requested returning guest: KM Best! The duo kicks things off with a massive OTA Balance Patch Review. KM Best provides a masterclass analysis on the recent changes to the meta, explaining why the targeted nerfs to Isca and Gambit were absolutely necessary, and breaking down why Thanos (Fractured Frontier) lost his game-start loaded shot (and why it was the perfect way to tone down his outsized presence).
Next, they tackle the controversial return of Draft Mode featuring Sanctum Scoring, debating whether Second Dinner made a massive mistake by changing the core rules of a beloved limited format.
Finally, they review the newest card releases for the spooky Halloween season:
- Vampire Killmonger: A unanimous 5-Star rating! Why this 2/2 scaler is a phenomenal mid-range tool and potentially the best Season Pass card of the year.
- Zombie Blade: Why this 2/3 hand-disruption tool is the perfect bridge for the Zombie/Horde archetype.
- Zombie Venom: A fascinating Destroy/Horde hybrid that Alex and KM Best both think is just a bit too clunky to dominate the meta.
- Vampire Enchantress: KM Best pitches a wild Galactus/Doom 2099 combo for this 6/7 power-stealer, but Alex worries she's simply too slow for top-tier play.
- Zombie Black Cat: An absolute 1-Star dud. Why this 3/5 discarder is a massive skip.
- Vampire Deacon Frost: A promising 4/5 build-around for the "Steal" archetype that transforms into a massive 4/9 threat.
- Vampire America Chavez & Zombie Nova: Evaluating the rest of the seasonal rewards and whether they find a home in Destroy or Horde decks.
Join Alex Coccia and special guests KM Best as they chat about this and more on this episode of The Snap Chat and catch Cozy and Alex every week as they discuss all things Marvel Snap.
