Episode Details

Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm have officially announced Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles, a five-issue crossover series launching in January 2027 to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the original film. Written by Kevin Smith and illustrated by David Marquez, the project marks the first official collision between the Star Wars galaxy and Marvel’s Earth-616 continuity. Through a reality-shattering spell, the events of A New Hope unfold directly on Earth, forcing iconic characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo to interact with Earth's heroes. Meanwhile, the villainous Doctor Doom seeks to exploit the might of the Galactic Empire by forming an alliance with Darth Vader. By restricting the crossover's scope strictly to the original 1977 film, the creators aim to deliver a focused narrative rather than an unmanageable spectacle.
