Episode Details

Mike Flanagan is steering a brand new Exorcist film slated for release on March 12, 2027, completely bypassing previous legacy sequels like Believer. The narrative centers around an ambitious detective investigating a dangerous case involving a dark force, while keeping specific plot details largely under wraps. This upcoming project boasts an all-star cast featuring Scarlett Johansson, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne, alongside several familiar acting regulars from Flanagan's previous television projects. Flanagan has clarified that his movie functions as an entirely fresh creation rather than a direct remake or nostalgic retread, drawing some artistic inspiration instead from The Exorcist III. Currently, production is actively underway in New York City as the acclaimed horror director strives to deliver an exceptionally frightening cinematic experience.
