3 Horror Stories of London_s Forbidden Underworld
Published 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Description
Beneath London, something strange is stirring in the dark—robed rats with sacred rituals, an old woman with a taste for cruel magic, and a hunched creature that feeds on the dead. In these tunnels, the forgotten world below is very much alive… and not everything down there is willing to stay hidden.
In this episode, we descend into three horror stories from London's forbidden underworld. First, we follow Cornelius into a secret gathering of the "Brothers of the Robes," a clandestine society performing a ritual sacrifice involving a cat and a ceremonial dagger, intended to ensure their survival for generations. The cat speaks, pleading for its life and proposing an alliance against humans, but its plea is rejected. Then, we follow Big Man and Skinny Pip, two men who meet an enigmatic old woman after a business meeting. After drinking her tea, they undergo a horrifying transformation—shrinking down to the size of miniatures, incapable of resistance as she places them on her bookshelf. Finally, we encounter Sumner, a creature of the tunnels who hunts and consumes spirits, experiencing their past lives. When he encounters a Victorian ghost in an old shelter, he is initially defiant—but flees in terror when the ghost attacks, vowing never to return.
These are the stories of what lurks beneath the city streets, in the tunnels and shelters where the forgotten world is still very much alive.
