UFC BJJ 10 Breakdown: Andrew Tackett, Vagner Rocha & the Future of Pro Jiu Jitsu
Published 5 hours ago
Description
Kevin Gallagher breaks down UFC BJJ 10 following the August 20 event at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Andrew Tackett defended his welterweight championship against Jonnatas Gracie, Brianna Ste-Marie captured the women’s featherweight title, Cassia Moura and Adele Fornarino advanced in the flyweight tournament, and a card packed with submissions gave Kevin plenty to talk about.
Kevin gives his perspective on the standout performances, Andrew Tackett’s continued rise, Vagner Rocha’s win over Andy Varela, the evolving UFC BJJ format, and the bigger question: is the UFC finally finding a way to make professional jiu jitsu work as a spectator sport?
It’s an Old Man Grappling Hour look at the matches, the athletes and where professional grappling might be headed next.
