Published 2 weeks ago
Description
The Abbott And Costello Show presents “Bud and Lou Plan to Go to France,” originally broadcast on April 14, 1948. This ABC radio episode, listed as episode 197, stars Bud Abbott and Lou Costello.
A telegram from Lou’s uncle sends Bud and Lou toward France to help with an apparent financial emergency. Their overseas errand leads to a café, a lively language barrier, and a French-flavored variation on their classic wordplay. Susan Miller performs “Manyana,” with Matty Malneck and his orchestra; Michael Roy announces.
The Abbott And Costello Show presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
