Back to EpisodesTwo Busy Weeks Didn't Stop You Training. "Properly" Did.
Description
You're not skipping training. You're postponing it.
The next two weeks are already filling up. A late day. A trip. A dinner you know won't go the way you'd normally eat.
So the week stops looking like a training week, and you do what feels like the disciplined thing: hold the standard until conditions return. Monday.
Normal gym. Food where you want it.
Then you do it properly.
In your business, you'd call that quality control. Nothing ships below spec.
But your body doesn't receive the standard in your head. It receives what you actually did. Forty-five minutes doesn't count because an hour would have.
One set isn't three. Six reps isn't nine. And while the proper version waits, nothing is being protected.
Not the muscle, not the strength. The shirt that used to drop straight from your chest starts catching on your stomach, and you couldn't say when it began.
This applies to the man mid-routine and to the man who hasn't trained properly in years.
The mechanism is identical. Monday gets handed the job of fixing everything, then a meeting moves in, and Tuesday starts to look cleaner.
Nothing forced you to stop.
So what exactly are you waiting to be able to do?
