From Childhood Trauma Survivor to Healing Others for 24 Years | Karen Robinson

Published 2 days ago
Description

Karen Robinson is a licensed clinical social worker, trauma recovery expert, therapist, coach, and entrepreneur with more than 24 years of experience helping people heal from trauma, anxiety, and depression.

As both a survivor and a clinician, Karen understands trauma not just academically, but through lived experience. After decades of working with combat veterans and survivors of interpersonal trauma, she realized she wanted to create a bigger impact beyond the traditional therapy room.

This conversation is about healing, resilience, rebuilding your life after pain, navigating your 20s through anxiety and uncertainty, and understanding that your past does not have to define your future.

In this powerful episode, Karen shares:

• Growing up in poverty, domestic violence, abuse, and neglect

• Early signs she was drawn to helping people

• What she was trying to figure out about relationships and boundaries in her 20s

• Emotional challenges that shaped her perspective (including a suicide attempt and emotional eating)

• Common patterns she sees in people struggling emotionally

• What trauma actually is — and how to recognize if you’re carrying it

• Practical first steps toward healing for survivors

If you’re in your 20s dealing with anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, or the feeling that your past still controls your present, this episode offers real understanding and hope.
