On Episode #15 of the Retro Wrestling Re-View Continental Wrestling Podcast, Gene Jackson and Robb Helt are back for one of their final stops in 1985, covering material from the November 16 and November 23, 1985 episodes of Continental Championship Wrestling.

And at this point, you can feel the territory starting to shift.

Some long running feuds are winding down, some familiar faces are about to move on, and 1986 is right around the corner with a fresh batch of talent, Memphis crossover, and new angles waiting in the wings.

Before we get there, though, 1985 still has a few bullets left in the chamber.

Literally.

The Bullet mystery continues to dominate the show, with Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden still convinced that Bob Armstrong is under the mask.

The problem?

There seems to be more than one Bullet running around.

At this point, Continental has so many masked men popping up that Gene and Robb are beginning to wonder whether they should just start handing masks out at the door.

Robert Fuller is tremendous in this role. He’s loud, obnoxious, almost cartoonish at times, but somehow still completely believable. He insists he knows exactly what’s going on and promises that the Bullet is eventually going to lose that mask.

This is one of those transitional episodes where the current stories are still running, but you can already feel the next era coming.

The Armstrongs and Fullers are still fighting.

The masks are multiplying.

Austin Idol may or may not show up. (not is usually the safe bet)

Adrian Street is still being Adrian Street.

Robert Fuller has another trophy.

And 1986 is almost here.

Continental is about to change.

But first, we’ve still got a few Bullets left to dodge.
