Description
Romans 8:1-17 has shown that Christians are no longer condemned
but are God’s adopted children who possess the Holy Spirit. Yet
Christians still experience weakness, suffering, frustration, and death
in the present age. So how should Christians think about suffering
and the future? In Romans 8:18-30, Paul lifts our eyes to the hope of
future glory, showing that creation, Christians, and even the Spirit
himself groan as we await God’s final renewal. In the midst of
suffering, Paul assures believers that God is working all things
according to his good purposes and will certainly bring his people to
glory.
