Our Miss Brooks - "The Heating System" (Old Time Radio, 1949)
Published 2 weeks ago
Description
Our Miss Brooks, “The Heating System,” originally broadcast on January 9, 1949, is episode 23 of the classic CBS comedy series. Eve Arden stars as English teacher Connie Brooks, with Gale Gordon as Madison High principal Osgood Conklin and Richard Crenna as Walter Denton.
Following the holiday recess, Madison High’s classrooms are bitterly cold, thanks to Conklin’s reluctance to spend money on coal. Connie looks for a way to spur the principal into action, while Walter brings along a school-uniform concern of his own. The broadcast was sponsored by Palmolive Soap and Luster-Cream Shampoo.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
