The Surprising Ways Missouri Animals Prepare for Winter

The Surprising Ways Missouri Animals Prepare for Winter

Published 3 weeks, 6 days ago
Description

As the days get shorter and temperatures start to drop, animals across Missouri are getting ready for winter, but not all of them prepare the same way. Some are stocking up on food, others are finding a place to hunker down, and a few are getting ready to disappear for the season.

Sarah Easton, a naturalist at the Runge Conservation Nature Center, joins us to explain what Missouri’s wildlife is up to this time of year and what we might notice in our own backyards.
