A Reflection For When We Don’t Feel Worthy
Sometimes we don’t feel like we’re worthy of the good things we experience.
Jacob said he wasn’t even a little bit worthy of all the steadfast love (חֶסֶד, ḥesed) God had shown him. (Genesis 32:10) And he probably wasn’t.
But love is a gift we receive, not a prize we earn.
So let us be grateful for the good things, because deserve’s got nothing to do with it.
