Allie is joined by Candy Thompson who shares her experience of living through the 1960s and the influence of the feminist ideology on her life. Candy recounts her college years and how she was heavily influenced by the idea that women were slaves in the home and needed to liberate themselves. However, the worldview that promised freedom and autonomy led to incredible brokenness in Candy’s life; she suffered multiple abortions, an abusive marriage, divorce, and felt both spiritually and physically broken. In her new book “Feminine Not Feminist: Reclaiming My Womanhood After Abortion” she explains how God redeemed even the most painful parts of her story, and brought healing to her and her family. She offers advice to young women feeling shame about their abortions and points to Christ as the only one who offers true healing and love in a world full of counterfeits.
