🎙️ On this episode of the Kingdom of Dreams Podcast, I sit down with acclaimed editor Dody Dorn to discuss her work on Heart of the Beast, starring Brad Pitt.

Dody takes us inside the editing room, from the importance of music in shaping the film to the emotional process of cutting a scene that deeply affected both her and the director.

We also talk about an unexpected puppy showing up at her door while she was editing the film, the creative decisions that shape a performance and story in post production, and so much more.

Dody Dorn is an acclaimed American film editor known for her work on major films including Memento, Insomnia, Kingdom of Heaven, Fury, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and Rebel Moon. She earned an Academy Award nomination for editing Christopher Nolan’s Memento. Known for her strong sense of rhythm, character, and nonlinear storytelling, Dorn has collaborated with filmmakers including Nolan, Ridley Scott, David Ayer, and Zack Snyder.
