I Saw a Lantern Moving Through the Blizzard. I Shouldn_t Have Followed It
Published 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Description
The blizzard came out of nowhere. One minute the trail was clear, the next I couldn't see my own hands in front of my face. The temperature dropped so fast my breath froze on my scarf. I knew I was in trouble. Then I saw it—a lantern, swinging gently in the distance, its warm glow cutting through the swirling snow. Someone was out there. Someone could help. I followed the light. I shouldn't have. Because the lantern wasn't carried by a person. It wasn't carried by anything human. And the deeper I followed it into the storm, the further I got from the trail, the warmth, and the world of the living.
In this episode, we explore a first-person survival horror story set in the frozen wilderness. A lone hiker, caught in a sudden blizzard, follows a mysterious lantern through the whiteout, believing it will lead to shelter. Instead, it leads him somewhere far more terrifying. The lantern is not a guide. It is a lure. And the thing that carries it has been waiting in the storm for someone just like him.
