I_m Trapped in an Airport Terminal That No Longer Exists
Published 2 weeks, 4 days ago
Description
I fell asleep in the airport terminal during a layover. When I woke up, the lights were still on, the escalators were still running, and the departures board still displayed flights. But there was no one else there. No passengers. No staff. No TSA. Just me, and the hum of the fluorescent lights, and the impossible silence of a place that should be full of noise. I checked my phone. The date was the same as when I fell asleep. But the airport—the airport I was in—had been closed and demolished five years ago.
In this episode, we explore a first-person horror story about a traveler trapped in an airport terminal that exists outside of time and reality. As he navigates the endless corridors, the gates that lead nowhere, and the departure boards that flicker with flights that never take off, he begins to realize that he is not alone. There are others here—passengers who have been waiting for flights that will never board, wandering the terminal for years, decades, maybe longer. And the only way out is to find the one gate that doesn't appear on any map—the gate that leads back to the world. But the airport doesn't want to let him go. Because this terminal isn't a place. It's a trap. And he is its newest passenger.
